South Florida – The Party Place

While a majority of celebrity DUI charges happen in or around Los Angeles, the second most common location is actually South Florida. Keep reading to learn which famous people got caught in Florida.

Justin Bieber

In 2014, the pop star made a huge buzz when officers arrested the teen for drunk driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest. Not only was the 17-year-old drunk driving, he was street racing in a bright yellow Lamborghini. Bieber failed to complete a field sobriety test and argued with the arresting officers to rack up the litany of charges.

Flo Rida

Police officers detained the rapper in South Florida in 2011. Not only did he earn a charge for driving under the influence, but officers also booked him for driving with a suspended license. However, unlike Bieber, Flo Rida did not resist the officers. He admitted to the sheriffs that he could not walk in a straight line and that he had ingested a few drinks.

Tiger Woods

Officers in Jupiter, Florida arrested the famous golfer on suspicion of DUI in May of 2017. He was sleeping in his running, parked car. The vehicle appeared to have gone through a minor accident of some sort. The golfer eventually woke up and addressed the officers with slurred speech and apparent disorientation. Eventually he said that the issues were a result of a bad reaction to prescription medications.

DUI & Possession

A DUI is a pretty major ordeal for most people. However, a DUI in combination with possession charges is a rough one-two punch.

Craig Robinson

This actor gained notoriety from The Office, Pineapple Express, and Brooklyn 99. In 2008, officers pulled Robinson over after a traffic violation in Culver City, California. Robinson was under the influence of amphetamines, cocaine, and cannabis. In addition to that cocktail, he was carrying methamphetamine and ecstasy with him. This led to a double booking for DUI and possession.

Lindsay Lohan

In the mid-2000s, Lindsay Lohan had a serious run of bad behavior, including her combination DUI and possession charges in May and July of 2007. In May, Lohan caused a car accident and officers arrested the star for DUI, misdemeanor hit-and-run, and possession of cocaine. However, the July arrest had even more charges. She was caught drunk driving, in possession of cocaine, transporting a narcotic into a custody facility, and driving with a suspended license.
